What We Do NOT Collect

The Video to Slides extension is designed with privacy as the core principle. We explicitly do not collect, store, or have access to the following:

Video Content

Browsing History

We do not collect, access, or monitor your browsing history, visited websites, or any information about websites you visit.

IP Address

We do not log or collect your IP address. Your internet traffic is not monitored or inspected by us.

Usage Analytics and Activity Data

We do not collect any analytics data about how you use the extension, what features you access, how frequently you use the extension, or any other usage metrics.

How Your Data Is Processed

Local, Client-Side Processing

All conversion processing happens entirely on your device using JavaScript running in your browser extension. When you use the Video to Slides extension to convert a video:

1. The video content is accessed directly from the web page you're viewing
2. The conversion process runs locally on your device using client-side JavaScript
3. The converted slides are generated on your device
4. The slides remain on your device and are not transmitted anywhere
5. No data is sent to our servers or to any third-party services

No Cloud Storage

Your converted slides are not stored in any cloud service. All data remains local to your device. You are responsible for saving, backing up, and managing your converted content.

No Server Communication

The extension does not communicate with any backend servers (except for essential extension updates from the Chrome Web Store). Your personal data, video content, and converted slides never leave your device.

Third-Party Services

No Third-Party Integration

The Video to Slides extension does not use, integrate with, or share data with any third-party services, including:

• Analytics Services: We do not use Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Segment, or any other analytics platform
• Advertising Networks: We do not use AdSense, DoubleClick, Facebook Ads, or any advertising network
• Crash Reporting: We do not use Sentry, Bugsnag, Firebase Crash Reporting, or similar error tracking services
• Cloud Services: We do not use AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or other cloud providers to store your data
• Content Delivery Networks: We do not use CDNs that would have access to your content
• Payment Processors (beyond Chrome Web Store): Payment processing is handled entirely by the Chrome Web Store; we do not receive or store your payment information

Chrome Web Store

The only external service the extension communicates with is the Chrome Web Store to check for and download updates. During this process, your browser's standard user agent string and basic device information may be shared with Google (the operator of the Chrome Web Store), in accordance with Google's privacy policies.

Data Retention

No Data Stored

Since we do not collect any personal data, we do not retain any data about you. All converted slides and processing occurs locally on your device and is not stored on our servers.

Local Storage

The only data stored through the extension is your personal settings and preferences, stored locally on your device through the browser's storage API. This data is never transmitted to us or to any third party.

Browser Cache

Your browser may cache website data in accordance with your browser settings. The Video to Slides extension does not control or influence this caching.

Children's Privacy

The Video to Slides extension is designed for users age 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect or solicit information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has used the extension, we reserve the right to prohibit access. Parents or guardians who believe their child has used the extension are encouraged to contact us at the email provided below.

Since the extension does not collect personal information and processes all data locally, there is minimal privacy risk for child users. However, parents should supervise their children's use of the extension and ensure compliance with our eligibility requirements.
